The suction drum bowls ensure the circulation of liquids, thus allowing forced penetration of the bath into the tops. The absorption is also favoured by the very low tension of the fibres along the entire line, which remain swollen and voluminous, soaking completely and evenly.
Thanks to the automated dosing of chemicals, the amount of circulating liquor is regular and uniform for each sliver on the backwashing line.
This means that every fibre, of every sliver, from the first to the last metre of the reel, of every reel in the batch, is treated evenly, uniformly and equally to the others.
Consequently, both in preparation and spinning, clear improvements are achieved, not only when it comes to quantity but also to quality.

Thanks to the wool treatment in the backwasher, fashion companies can produce fancy fabrics and white yarns.
The yarns dyed in tops in fact prevent the migration of colour from the dyed yarn, even in the case of very dark colours or black, into the white yarn.
