FOULARD

Makes wool unshrinkable, more voluminous and prone to dyeing

TREATMENT

basolan

This chemical treatment gives a slight anti-pilling effect and a soft, fluffy and voluminous hand.

The BASOLAN treatment consists of the wool impregnation with chemical treatment products in the foulard. This process is followed by several minutes’ storage and neutralisation.

IMPROVES THE QUALITY
OF WOOL DYEING OR PRINTING

The chemicals used in this process help to bond dyes permanently with the treated fibre’s surface. The Basolan treatment does not require any particular control.

Potassium or sodium dichloroisocyanurate is used in a concentration of 2.5 to 4% depending on the required hand

In contact with the wool, it releases chlorine slowly, so it reacts gently with the surface of the wool

It makes the wool suitable for washing several times in the washing machine and it reduces the tendency to shrink and pilling

It gives a better hand, a better feel, more softness, more volume and makes the material more prone to dyeing

you get more voluminous wool, so less wool has to be used for the same cold protection conditions
